North shouldn't overcall with 1S (happened at more than 1 table). Some would X with North's hand but looks to me like a hand that should be defending (lots of "quacks"). East is a little aggressive with 3C, 2C is possibly better.
At another table over it went 1C x 2c p; 3c ap. West has made a game try with 3C and east has a max for his bid, and with the balanced nature of his hand and stops everywhere should bid 3 NT.
