Although South is strong this is probably the minimum u need to bid game direct over pard's weak 2 opening. The hand evaluation should focus more on quick tricks or cover cards than hcp. Pard could have about 7 losers in the side suit and a trump loser. U have 4 cover cards (KS, AH,AD,KC), plus with 4 trumps it is less likely there is a trump loser. Some pairs play a convention using 2 NT as an asking bid whether pard is strongish or not for his weak 2, which helps on marginal hands.
