Most play 2C as a GF (game force) or at least a 2 round force. Here South actually has a good hand given the 2D bid thus should bid naturally as possible, say 3C. The C6 is an odd lead. East has a safe QJT to lead from.
At another table: p p 2nt p 3nt ap North is too strong for 2NT, and the slightly unbalanced shape with both majors is also unsuitable. 2C is best.
